FAQ
Plain answers, before you have to ask.
A tracked number is a phone number assigned to one specific source, your Google Ads, your Google Business Profile or a directory listing, that forwards straight to the phone you already answer today. Because each source gets its own number, FonsHive knows exactly where a call came from before anyone picks up. One number per source you want measured separately; everything still rings the same phone in your office.
Yes. Every call through FonsHive begins with an upfront disclosure that it may be recorded, wherever the caller is. Recordings live in your dashboard for quality, training and dispute resolution, the same experience customers expect when they call any larger company. Transcripts and a review of every call come with the Call Recording & Quality Review add-on.
Yes. It answers as your business and says it's an AI assistant in its first sentence, on every call and chat, for example: 'Thanks for calling Dunvarrow Plumbing, this is Sam, Dunvarrow's AI assistant. How can I help?' If a caller asks whether they're talking to a person, it tells them the truth right away.
No. FonsHive runs alongside the CRM you already use. It adds the tracking, call-handling and attribution layer most CRMs don't do well on their own.
We connect through the access your CRM offers and the access you choose to give us. Tell us which CRM you use and which plan you're on when you join the waitlist. We tell you plainly what we can connect before you pay anything.
You can, and for some shops it's enough. Built-in assistants are generic across every customer on that platform, they don't track which ad or listing produced the call, and they tie you to that platform. FonsHive's receptionist is configured to your business, and every call it answers is traced to its source. It answers and takes messages whatever CRM you run. Booking depends on the access your CRM gives us.
Tracked numbers activate as soon as your account is set up. Connecting your ad accounts is a guided, step-by-step process, or we do it for you. We check what we can connect in your CRM before you pay anything. Your dashboard starts filling from the first tracked call. See the four setup steps.
Tracked numbers forward to the phone you already use, so nothing about your existing setup has to change. The AI Receptionist is optional and only answers the calls you choose to route to it, such as after-hours or overflow.
No. It's built to make sure a call never simply goes unanswered, not to replace the people who run your office. The AI Receptionist is designed for overflow and after-hours coverage, while your own team keeps handling calls during business hours.
You do. Your business data is yours. We use it to run the service, displaying, organizing and reporting it back to you, and we don't sell client or customer data to third parties. How long each kind of record is kept is set out in our Privacy Policy, which is published before the first paid account opens.
We treat every outage as urgent the moment we know about it and move immediately to restore service. We don't promise a contractual uptime number. Instead we state a ceiling for the parts we run ourselves: in rare worst cases, full restoration of a FonsHive-controlled component can take up to 16 hours, with fast, plain communication the whole time. Most issues resolve far faster than that. Outages at the outside services FonsHive builds on, such as the call-tracking and AI voice providers, your CRM, Google or Meta, are ones we tell you about promptly, but we can't put a time limit on them because we don't control their recovery. Incoming leads are saved the moment they arrive, so an outage on our side delays a lead instead of losing it. Where we confirm a Service failure was caused by FonsHive, we credit the prorated subscription fee for the affected period, and we may add a goodwill credit at our discretion. Credits apply to future invoices only, have no cash value, and total credits for one incident never exceed the fees you have paid us to date.
